Any plans for a trip to Turkey? Or currently in Turkey? Make sure you don't miss the snow scene in Uludag. Uludağ (in Turkish, Uludag means big) is a mountain with a height of 2543 m (8343 ft. above sea level.) which is the name of a National Park and ski resort in Turkey. Its exact location is south of Bursa in Turkey's Southern Marmara Region. Many come here to ski, surf in the snow, ride ski motorbikes, play in the snow, or just enjoy the view of the snow-covered mountains and trees while enjoying a cup of hot tea or coffee, and taking pictures and videos. During winter the temperature in this area can reach 4 degrees Celsius. So cold right? So, make sure if you want to play at this location you are prepared with warm clothes, gloves, headgear, leather shoes, or boots that are anti-slip and waterproof. To get to the top, for about 45 minutes, we take the Teleferik (cable car) which is about 8.3 km long. There is a difference in ticket prices between residents and foreign tourists. For tourists, the price for a return teleferik ticket (return) is 235 Turkish Lire (TL) or around IDR 198 thousand. Meanwhile, for residents, PP tickets cost 90 TL or around Rp. 76 thousand. At the first stop, we will enter a restaurant and cafe. Out of the restaurant we can take a walk to enjoy the surrounding scenery which is full of snow. Several cafes offer food and drinks to relieve hunger and thirst. Several people offer photo services. After playing in the snow at the first stop, we continued to the next stop, namely the second stop: to the highest peak (Kurbaga Kaya station). Here we have to queue again to get on the Teleferik with a maximum passenger capacity of 8 people. Arriving at the top of Uludag mountain, there are many stalls selling warm clothes, food, and drinks. So if, for example, your equipment isn't warm enough, you can shop here. Don't hesitate to carry out the process of bargaining for goods so that your pockets don't run low soon. There is also a ski rental place. If you've never skied or snowboarded before, you will be assisted by a professional trainer. After being satisfied playing in the snow, I entered a cafe, looking for what food can warm my body. It turns out that someone is selling Indonesian cups of instant noodles... instead of being confused about trying the others.............. I ordered 1 cup of instant noodles for 50 TL or around 42 thousand Rupiah. The number of visitors who come here every year reaches 1 million people. If you want to go to Uludag from Istanbul, you can buy a ticket for the Budo ferry to Mudanya, Bursa at Eminonu, for 89 TL (around Rp. 75 thousand) for one trip. In about 90 minutes you will arrive at Bursa. After leaving the port, immediately buy a Bursakart for 30 TL (around Rp. 25,000) then immediately top up the card for 40 TL so it's safe if you want to return to the port again later. After that, take the yellow F3 bus, the fare is 20 TL (around Rp. 17,000) get off at the last stop. Or you can also rent a car as I did with my friends. Enjoy the snow on Turkey's Uludag mountain 😊

To visit this area in Ankara, you don't need an entrance ticket, or it's free. Luckily when I arrived here, it coincided with the changing hours of the guards in military uniform. The moment of changing the guard became one of the interesting things for me and other visitors. The Turkish flag flies on a 33-meter-high pole. The flag is the pride of the Turkish people that will not be lowered except on the day of Ataturk's death. Even in times of mourning, this flag never descends to half-mast. Ataturk is a title that means: "Father of the Turks", was assigned to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's name in 1934, and according to Turkish law, is not allowed to be used by others. He was the commander of the Turkish National Movement in the war for independence after World War I and the overthrow of the Ottoman government. Besides being revered as a Turkish reformer, Ataturk is also known as a flamboyant man with dapper clothes. Various Ataturk clothes are still neatly stored in exhibits at the museum at the burial site. The Atatürk Mausoleum, in Turkish terms called ANITKABIR, was designed by Turkish architect Emil Onat, in the Ottoman and Seljuk architectural styles, one of the most famous examples of modern architecture in Turkey located high on a hilltop with a hill height of 906 m in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The construction of this magnificent tomb took 9 years. The complex was built between 1944 and 1953 to serve as the final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk died of kidney disease at the age of 57, in 1938. Inside the 17-meter-high Mausoleum, we will find a 40-ton marble coffin that marks the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Ataturk was buried 7 meters in the ground, under the coffin. Indonesian President Joko Widodo accompanied by the First Lady in 2017 once laid a red and white flower wreath at the grave of Turkey's First President Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. This procession was carried out by President Jokowi as a form of respect for the founding figure as well as the first president of the Republic of Turkey. On the walls of the building, there is the Ataturk Inscription which contains Ataturk's last message to the Turkish army. This message is inscribed on the walls of the Mausoleum right on the 100th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's birth and is still a reminder that nationalism is Mustafa's most valuable legacy for his people. On the floor of this vast ceremonial court are ceramics with 373 Ottoman-era carpet motifs. Ideally, this ceremonial field can accommodate 15 thousand of people. In this area, there is also a symbolic coffin of Ismet Nonu, a friend of Ataturk who is the 2nd President of Turkey. Inonu's grave is located just below the ground of the symbolic coffin. Walking in this area we will find a statue of 3 men and a statue of 3 women. These statues express the deep pain that Turkish men and women felt over Ataturk's death.
There are also statues of lions that are on a long stone road called 'Lion Road' which is 200 meters long. It is called Lion Street because of the presence of lion statues on both sides. 24 marble lion statues are lying in a reclining position in a way that means “inspires strength and serenity” and this figure represents the 24 Oghuz tribes.
